Absynt is a warm, cosy place, charming with its style. Stylish, renovated with great artistry, the sofas, tables, dressers, stools and shutters will make you feel as if you were in the 19th century. During the day the place is visited by foreigners, turists from Poland, businessmen, students, couples in love and ordinary passers-by. It is where the connoisseurs come back to taste and smell the aroma of a real Italian espresso or to dip a spoon in a thick hot chocolate. And the music? Mainly old jazz, blues and swing but also musicians like Sting, Nora Johnes, Dire Straits and many more. But the most imporant is the main dish: Absinthe (Polish and French) served in a traditional way as nowhere else. It was drank by Picasso, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Rimbaud, Baudelaire, Wilde and Hemingway. For years selling and drinking absinthe was forbidden and you could risk being imprisoned for it. Nowadays the herbal drink is back in grace. Come and try!
